Rob Zombie is coming to Miami! Sorta...

Rob Zombie has brought his unique style of filmmaking to the streets of Miami as he makes his television directorial debut on an episode of "CSI: Miami", to be broadcast Monday, March 1st at 10pm on CBS.

For most of us, going from Halloween to CSI, would not be such a good direction for a career. Unless, of course, you're Rob Zombie.

"As writers, we were really pushing to create an interesting backdrop that could lend to Rob Zombie's visual style," says Marc Dube, co-executive producer. "We thought opening the episode at a macabre party, with Miami attendees all wearing stylized masks, like 'Eyes Wide Shut', would be a fun kick-off point for Rob do to what he does best which is conveying the cruel and creepy underbelly of humanity."

When I think of "CSI: Miami", this is the footage that dances around my brain. I can't say I'm a fan.

BUT, Jim Carrey is a HUGE fan, as demonstrated on the Late Show With David Letterman.

In Zombie's episode, the CSI team discovers that a listening device has been covertly planted at a crime scene, capturing a terrifying soundtrack of the murder and, possibly, the voice of the killer. Zombie then jumps in, steals the audio and puts it on his upcoming CD...

Or at least that is what SHOULD happen, instead it's revealed the bug was planted by the team's own Jesse Cardoza. Horatio Caine and Eric Delko travel to Los Angeles to dig into that murder and clear Jesse's name. While in Los Angeles, Horatio find himself face to face with secrets from Jesse's past and a dangerous element within the LAPD... It ends with Michael Myers killing everyone, stealing Horatio's shades and going to Haulover Beach to check out some cougar boobies...or maybe not.

"I am very excited to be working on a show that has such an intense and unique visual angle on the classic crime drama formula and look forward to putting my own bizarre stamp on the world of 'CSI: Miami'," says Zombie.

What he really means is, "I probably won't be able to land another movie for a while, so lets see if I have any luck with TV." ...and like his movies, he needs to finds a spot for his wife, Sherri Moon Zombie.
