Happy Twenty Ten to all! Especially to Soundgarden fans! Saying goodbye to 2009 apparently also meant saying goodbye to Gangsta Cornell.

Now, everyone has career HIGHS and career LOWS. It is a part of life.

Here are some of the career HIGHS for rock vocalist extraordinaire, Chris Cornell.

And more recently, the career LOWS!
The only difference between Chris Cornell and us is that he has the power (and the millions of dollars in his bank account) to return to his career HIGH (or at least take a shot at it again), whereas most of us do not.

After saying things in most recent years such as, "I don't see the point in a Soundgarden reunion" and "The only thing I see us doing is trying to put together an album of B-sides and maybe a box set with some unreleased tracks we have", and so forth...the tide has shifted to the words Soundgarden fans have been waiting over a decade to hear!

Chris Cornell via Twitter and his official webiste posted, "The 12-year break is over and school is back in session. Knights of the Soundtable ride again!"

The news originally broke at about the stroke of midnight into the new year, so I first feared someone might have had hacked into his Twitter account, or maybe he was drunk tweeting, or it was the Y2K Apocalypse checking 10 years late. But no, it's true!!! Chris Cornell has heard our cries and put his "hip-hop phase" behind him by giving the fans what they want. If all goes really well, maybe he'll move the hell out of Paris! Hey, if wishes are being granted, we might as well throw everything against the wall to see what sticks. How about a tour with Pearl Jam and Alice In Chains? I'm full of great ideas, aren't I? Feel free to give me a call Chris! I'm available to manage this tour for ya!

Chris is also encourging fans to sign up at Soundgarden's new official website for updates at SoundgardenWorld.com.
