Nik: Congratulations Glenda on being chosen BY THE FANS as the hottest/favorite Mermaid. Now no matter what, you have been officially stamped "forever hot" because the people said so!! What was your reaction when you found out you were the Champion?

Glenda: I was surprised to be chosen as the fans' favorite Mermaid! I was also very happy. It felt great. I couldn't stop smiling.

Nik: I am sure when the Mermaid Challenge started all the Mermaids were in it for the fun, but when you got into the final four was there a little ounce of you that said in the back of your head, "I know I am hotter than the other three. I'm gonna kick some butt!!"???

Glenda: Not at all! We are all really good friends and it was fun being in the Mermaid Challenge. But I must admit, it was getting competitive in the final four - haha.

Nik: Any tension in the Mermaids locker room from those who were bounced in the early rounds?

Glenda: Nooo! There was no tension whatsoever. We are a big family and it was nothing more than a fun competition.

Nik: You are a hometown Miami girl representing your hometown team. Did you grow up a big Marlins fan and how did you develop your love for the game?

Glenda: Yes, I did grow up being a big Marlins Fan!!! Ever since I was a little girl, my grandfather would take me to the Marlins games. That's how I grew to love baseball so much!

Nik: Becoming a Mermaid is not easy. At the auditions you are competing against over 100 other talented young ladies who are fighting towards the same dream of earning a spot. For you, what did it take to become a Mermaid?

Glenda: Becoming a Mermaid is not easy at all! First, we have an audition in which we learn two or three dances. Whoever is chosen gets to attend Boot Camp which consists of seven days of very intense training. Finally, there is the Final Audition in which the Squad for the upcoming season is chosen. It is hard & intense, but it is also very fun and well worth the hard work!!!

Nik: What do you do to stay in shape? What is the workout that has given you the best results?

Glenda: We do a lot of training in our practice time! We do anything from lunges to abdominal workouts.

Nik: What are your favorite food indulgences that you have had to give up during the season to stay in shape??

Glenda: I must admit that I don't give up any of my favorite foods (grin). My all time favorite foods would have to be pasta & junk food!

Nik: When we are not watching you cheer on the Marlins at the ballpark, what can we find you doing? What do you do to decompress and escape?

Glenda: When I'm not dancing you can definitely find me at the beach tanning or at the mall shopping!

Nik: Your birthday is coming up on May 18th, any special plans??

Glenda: I know. I'm so excited!!! I will most likely go somewhere with my family and friends.

Nik: What is the worst gift you have ever received?

Glenda: Like they say "It's the thought that counts". I cannot say I've received a bad gift.

Nik: What is the most ridiculous pick up line that has ever come your way?

Glenda: This one actually made me laugh! "Are you from Tennessee cuz you're the only ten I see"!

Nik: What is your guilty pleasure?

Glenda: I must admit all I do is watch the E channel or MTV. I love reality shows! I also love watching Forensic Files!

Nik: When we see you are the ball park, all the Mermaids are made up looking very cool, classy and trendy – absolute perfection. Let us in on something that you can admit makes you sort of a "geek"?

Glenda: You're right about that we are all very classy and trendy! I guess I'll let you in on a little secret...the Mermaids are also very studious; we study during our breaks during the games.

Nik: Do you feel the Manatees are stealing some of your spotlight and are you jealous because their diet consists of hot dogs, pizza and beer?

Glenda: Haha! No, we are not jealous at all! We enjoy having another team on the field with us. They are all our friends. Although it's not fair that they get to eat pizza in their diet - haha!

Nik: Do you have any secret talents?

Glenda: I discovered my secret talent at "Ripley's Believe It Or Not" museum. I am actually one of the few people who can fold their tongues!

Nik: What is your biggest pet peeve?

Glenda: When someone taps me on the shoulder or people with bad manners.

Nik: What is the greatest piece of advice that you have received that you still follow to this day as part of your philosophy and who gave you that advice?

Glenda: My mom has always told me...to do things right the first time and not to repeat my mistakes. Those words of advice has helped me throughout my life.

Nik: Which team do you find the most enjoyment beating, because their fans are so rude and annoying?

Glenda: I have to say the Mets! When we win it's great. Their fans get rowdy at times.
